What We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking active account managers who want to join us as we expand the company and who have the energy and drive to help us make it happen. Do not apply if you have no drive or ambition.

Ideally, you will be a self starter, not needing to be prodded along the way. You will love your work and welcome the challenges that it brings. Because of our ongoing advertising and high rankings on Google we do get a number of enquiries. We also actively promote our services via email and other media. For many search terms we are on Page 1 of Google, and even in the No 1 natural search position. Your task will be to follow up on these leads and also work with existing customers.

We’re looking for quality staff who can build relationships with clients – get to know their businesses and understand how to fill a client’s marketing needs. Your clients must like you - otherwise they won’t want to deal with you – no matter how good the service you are offering. It was Abraham Lincoln who said “If you wish to win somebody to your cause, you must first make them your friend”. And this is especially true in client relationships.

You will most definitely not be a clock watcher. Office hours are officially 9am till 5.30, but we can offer some flexibility if required. What is important is that you should not be rushing for the door at 5.30pm. If you are the sort of person who, the moment the clock hits 5.30, disappears like a bat out of hell, then you won’t be happy here. We believe in give and take, and if occasionally you have to leave early, or need a day off, we’ll understand especially if you are in the habit of generally delivering more than is required.

Ideally, you will have had some sales experience and be willing to improve your skills. If you have no sales experience but get on well with people that’s fine. We can build on that. We have a large resource library to help you both in sales and personal development. You must be organised and able to keep track of your activities and progress. Above all you must be literate and able to communicate with your clients in meaningful English via email or letter with sentences that are grammatically correct and not full of spelling mistakes.

You must be computer aware. And while you don’t have to be an expert on computers you should have a basic knowledge of Windows and at the very least, MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.

Ideally you will be a graduate with a background in client servicing. Perhaps you were involved in some entrepreneurial or sales activity whilst at university. However, if you are not a graduate, but have a good level of secondary education or a partial degree then we’d still like to hear from you.

What We Offer

You’ll be part of a team in our Hove office. Being small we’re a very friendly organisation and there’s no formal hierarchical structure. Everyone just gets on with the job in hand from the MD down.

We’re offering a starting salary of £16,000 PLUS commission of between 5-15% of the profits that you generate for us. Your salary will be reviewed at 90 days and regularly thereafter based on the level of business your clients are doing.

If you are any good at all you should be aiming to earn between £25-£27,000+ in your first 12 months, gradually building upon this year by year.

You will receive 4 weeks annual leave plus all statutory holidays.

We like to think that you’ll also get a great deal of job satisfaction through being a key member of our team.

To round off the week we often head for the local pub on Friday night for a few drinks before going our various ways.
